Lower Ball Joint Failure

OE and other suppliers’ designs can lead to early failure in vehicles

that are subject to adverse road conditions or severe duty use.

Note:

In order to remove and install the lower ball joint, the knuckle must be removed.

We recommend that you replace the outer universal joints at this time, as they

are easily accessible during this procedure.

K7467 ball joint features many

improvements over the OE and other suppliers’ ball joints.

• Plastic bearing is subject to excessive wear.

• No provision for preload can lead to excessive deflection

and degradation of socket torque as the bearing wears.

• OE ball joint is non-greaseable, and the tight installation

clearance makes servicing other suppliers’ ball joints difficult.

• Exclusive powdered-metal “gusher” bearing

improves wear resistance and durability.

• Belleville washer ensures proper preload and

consistent socket torque for the life of the part.

• Premium knurled housing ensures strength

and a secure installation.

• Premium black polychloroprene boot lasts longer

than blue neoprene boots.
